Hi wheelers, just a reminder that entry for the club 25 mile TT close tomorrow, (Tuesday) log on to cyclingtimetrials.org to enter. The new 25mile TT course now starts at Ingleby Arncliffe, and heads up to Stokesley, Ayton, Pinchinthorpe and back. Should be a nice change from the A19. This is open to all club members of all abilities. Come and give it a go. Early start though I’m afraid, 8am Dave k

The mixed ability social / training ride will be on as normal Tuesday night meeting at Ayton tourist info car park at 6pm for 6.10 set off. I hear that it’s not been so mixed ability the last few weeks when Iv not been there. So this week I’m putting the clamp back on! We can do the commondale bus stop run. The offenders of not taking it easy enough on the steady riders will be expected to do hill repeats on one or both of the last 2 hills over commondale, steadier riders can turn around earlier to even it all out. See you all there. Dave k
Hi all. Weathers looking fine for this weeks mixed ability training ride so were going to head for the hills and do the commondale bus stop run as I need to get my hill climbing going. Meet at Ayton tourist info car park at 6pm for 6.10 set off. All welcome. For anyone that hasn’t done the commondale run this is what we do. Steady social ride to kildale. Then as fast as you like to the bus stop at the top of commondale T junction and back. To even it out, anyone who can climb should do one or both of the big 2 climbs twice, steadier riders who think they may not get back in time can cut it short and miss out the last hill. Don’t bother waiting at the bus stop as it gets cold. Just crack on back to kildale, then head straight home if you like. No need to regroup if you don’t want to. It’s good fun with riders all over the place. Don’t worry if you havnt done this before, it is set out to be mixed ability so everyone can gain what they want from it. See you all there. Dave Kirton
Tuesday mixed ability training ride will be on as normal meeting at Ayton tourist info car park at 6.pm for 6.10 set off. Stick to the Easby loops again this week. 2,3 or 4 loops before riding home. I won’t be out tomorrow night but can I ask for EXREME caution and TIDY riding please. We had a few close calls with tractors last week. They’re very wide and fast these days! I don’t see any point in changing circuits as the same problems are on all roads. But it might be best to single out through Battersby village S bends to the crossing, and on the fast section approaching Easby around the bends there and take care on the sharpe left at Easby back to Ingleby as it’s an acute angle. Also can I ask that NO ONE! responds to abuse from vehicles whilst riding with us. Even if the motorist is in the wrong. Just keep it tidy and ride on. Our popularity is down again in Ingleby Greenhow and Battersby following the TT on Sunday. Sorry about the lecture, I just want you to all have a safe and enjoyable ride for all abilities.
Thanks,
Dave K
