About the League 2000

The League 2000 is a series of age-related cycling events for under 18’s promoted by the Cleveland Wheelers Cycling Club. It was established in 1997 by Steve Binks and Norman Bielby. In 2022 we will be running 12 events on 12 consecutive weeks from Monday, 23 May to Monday, 8 August, all rounds start at 6:30 pm promptly.

Any child of any ability between the ages of 3-17 can enter. Providing that they can ride a bike safely (without stabilizers), wear suitable clothing and have a protective helmet to wear.

The events are held at the Middlesbrough Cycle Circuit which is part of the Middlesbrough Sports Village. This provides a safe, traffic free environment for the events. The format of the evening is a one lap Time Trial, a Skills Test and finally a Road Race.

Please see this information pack regarding the League 2000, the team and how the format works on each night.

The cost is £5 per child, per round. To enter please click or tap here.
