Description
The League 2000 is a series of age-related cycling events for under 18’s promoted by the Cleveland Wheelers Cycling Club. It was established in 1997 by Steve Binks and Norman Bielby.
In 2023 we will be running 12 events with the first on Monday, 24 April and the last on Monday, 31 July, all rounds start at 6:30 pm promptly.
Note that because of bank holidays there will be no events on the following dates :-
- 1 May – Early May bank holiday.
- 8 May – Bank holiday for the coronation of King Charles.
- 29 May – Spring bank holiday.

Any child of any ability between the ages of 3-17 can enter. Providing that they can ride a bike safely (without stabilizers), wear suitable clothing and have a protective helmet to wear.
The events are held at the Middlesbrough Cycle Circuit which is part of the Middlesbrough Sports Village. This provides a safe, traffic free environment for the events. The format of the evening is a one lap Time Trial, a Skills Test and finally a Road Race.
