Club Runs

Club runs take place all year round and start from the Tourist Information Centre, High Green Car Park, Great Ayton, TS9 6BJ (see map).

We currently cater for three groups of riders:-

steady group which goes out for 25 to 35 miles at an average speed of 14 mph. This group has two runs – one on a Saturday, starting at 10.00 and another on a Sunday, also starting at 10.00.

A fast group which starts at 09.30 on a Sunday and goes out for 50 miles plus at an average of 18-19 mph.

A medium group which starts at 09.30 on a Sunday and goes out for 40 miles plus at an average of 16-17 mph.

All are welcome but please read the message below about insurance, we would also like all participants to read the Frequently Asked Questions. Please think about the Club Run as a supportive ride – riders generally help one another if they can, rather than a supported ride – taking complete responsibility for your ride.

We would encourage those who ride regularly with us to join the club (2nd claim if you are a member of another club). For further details about joining click here.

If you have any questions please feel free to email Dave Kirton or John Kelly.

You should accept responsibility for your own conduct and safety (including the safety of your bicycle and other equipment) during Club activities. You take part in Club rides entirely at your own risk. We strongly recommend that you take out appropriate third party insurance for your own sake. Membership of British Cycling or the CTC can offer you this form of cover.

  1. Hey guys. Turned up for a club run 25/7/2017 with no one here. What’s up with that?
