Anyone is welcome to enter this ride on the understanding that they do so at their own risk. Please be aware, however, it is not a Sportive. There is no mechanical backup, there are no waymarks on the course nor are there any refreshment stations. Riders need to be familiar with the route, carry their own food and drink and able to deal with any mechanical problems arising.

The route has been slightly modified this year. The approach to Barnard Castle is now on minor roads and not the A67. The return is now via the Rountons and the Black Swan overpass and not via Picton and Crathorne. Also the finish is at Fletcher’s and not Chapters Deli.

The updated route map can be viewed here. This shows the profile and there is also a facility for downloading the route onto GPS units.

The associated cue sheet can be downloaded here.
