Yeovil Cycling Group Charity Ride in aid of cancer charities – Tuesday 29 April.

You may have seen on the website previous details of this group’s charity ride from Middlesbrough FC’s Riverside Stadium to Yeovil Town’s ground in time for the final kick off of the season on the following Saturday. It would be great if as many Wheelers as possible turn up on the 29th April to ride with them on their first stage out of town towards Northallerton.

You will need to be at the Riverside around 8:30 on the Tuesday morning for the ride out at 9 am. It is expected that local press will be in attendance. The club has been involved in helping with the planning of this first stage and it would be great to show our continued support for their challenge.

So anyone who still wishes to enter will have to get there entry in over the next few days. I’m not sure when entry closes but would imagine it’s Tuesday. It’s came around rather quickly following the hilly 21. see cycling time trials website for details. Cheers, Dave Kirton

Brian Bevis on the mend!

Hi Wheelers, I have been to see Brian tonight and he’s well on with recovering after his accident in Ayton nearly 2 weeks ago. Hes back at home and walking about o.k although still a bit bruised and battered and his back hurts. He has asked me to pass on his thanks for all the kind get well messages and cards. I have given him a new Cleveland wheelers cap as a present ( although it’s a dodgy purple colour). By the looks of him I’m sure he will be back in action soon and he seems in good spirits although he still can’t remember the accident.
