League 2000

League 2000, 17/07/2017

A photo roundup from last night’s extremely warm & sunny League 2000.

We’re not blessed with many evenings as lovely as last night, but regardless of the weather participation this year has been extremely good, averaging over 80 children per week. You can see by the look on some of the smaller ones’ faces just how much they love the event.

Skills Course

Helpers
Rachel from Stockton Wheelers ends up helping almost every week, despite also competing herself. We’re indebted to everyone who helps out at the event.

Timekeeping
Wheelers’ legendary timekeeper Bill keeps an eagle eye on proceedings. Bill times at League 2000 every week, as well as the CWCC evening series and most of our open events.

CWCC Weekend Away 2017

This is a repost of Andy Curson’s invitation on Facebook. If you’ve already responded on FB then there’s no need to do it again here.

Dates : Travel  from Great Ayton on Saturday, 7 Oct.  Return from Grinton on Sunday, 8 Oct.

Destination : Grinton YHA

I know it’s early, but due to the high demand for a limited number of places on last year’s away weekend, planning for 2017 has started early to try and accommodate more people on this year’s trip from all ability groups.

The destination and place of our overnight accommodation is Grinton YHA. There will be three varying routes (fast, medium & steady), and can be adjusted accordingly if the weather conditions are not favourable!?!

The finalised cost of the weekend (accommodation, grand depart from Great Ayton, photos, luggage transfer) is to be confirmed but will be between £20-£25.

Further details will follow, however looking to pull numbers together at this stage….places are limited and will be on a first come first served basis – please let me know by adding a comment to this post below.

I will then try to keep you all updated.

Thanks everyone, have a great summertime – ride safe, and look forward to catching up in October, if not before 🙂

Evening Series Week 10 – 6 July 2017

Here’s the rather damp timekeeper’s sheet from tonight’s event. The circuit had to be shortened because temporary traffic lights had made an appearance outside Labman Automation in Seamer Hill.
