Online Membership Enrollment & Payment

Just to let everyone know that our online membership enrollment & payment system is now up and running. Access to it is via the Club->Membership menu option, or via this link.

There’s two sides to the system, one for Juveniles whose membership is free, and one for Juniors & Adults which uses an online payment service that we have subscribed to. We know that by now almost everyone has already rejoined, but if anyone reads this who still needs to pay their fees (or is thinking of joining for the first time) then please do use the new system. It’s fast and slick and saves you carrying a tenner round for weeks on end hoping you’ll bump into Dave…

Tour de Yorkshire stage 1

Tour de Yorkshire Decisions, Decisions!

I’ve just been looking over the details of this stage having come to terms with the fact that the route organisers have opted to leave out all the local area’s iconic climbs. The Cote de Rosedale Abbey aka Bell End Farm climb is a tough proposition no doubt but when I reckoned up the severity of local climbs a couple of years ago I ranked 23 higher! Not only that, even after Danby they seem to have followed the line of least resistance by bypassing Houlsyke and Lealholm so avoiding the tough little climb up towards Glaisdale.

Evening Series 2015

Just a reminder to everyone to get their entries in as soon as possible for this year’s evening series. It’s always a popular event, with close to 50 riders taking part on several occasions last year. We really need for people to register in advance for the series though, rather than just turn up on the night. The reasons for this are twofold.

Firstly, and most importantly (to us), without pre-registering it is impossible for us to allocate marshals, and without marshals the series cannot actually go ahead.

Secondly, if you’re not pre-registered then you’re not eligible for a place on the leaderboard, so you’re really just riding for the exercise. Which is great, if exercise is what you need…

So come on, don’t hang about, get your entries in by following this link.

See you all there come April.
