Beginning this Sunday, 29 September 2024, the club run will revert to its winter start time of 9:30.
So, if you want, you’ve got an extra half hour in bed.
Hi all, it’s me, Dave Kirton! So it seems last weekends castleton 50 in 4 was a resounding success. 35 riders completing the challenge ride in fairly testing condition over Blakey ridge with headwind and very poor visibility. All the riders seemed pleased with the new start and finish arrangements after I rotated the course around to now start at Ayton and finish at the Dudley Arms Ingleby greenhow. I’m not sure why I haven’t thought of this before? But traditionally it always started at Marton cross roads, and sometimes it’s difficult to break from tradition. Thanks to John Kelly for his excellent officiating as usual. Well done to Ross turner for being the first rider back to the cafe, and a particular well done to those steadier riders for tackling the challenging loop and making it to the finish in good time 👍
So that’s all the challenge ride series now starting in Ayton. Next up is the Rough stuff on Sunday 6th oct. Please see the link below to the info for all the Cleveland wheelers rides.
Cheerio 👋 Dave K

We have been monitoring the weather today and we have made the unfortunate decision to cancel tonight’s session due to the wet weather.
We had been hoping to still run the session, continuing the great momentum set by all groups, as well as the cyclo-cross training too, but the forecast isn’t great and it isn’t set to improve by this evening.
We hope to see you all next week when youth training will recommence on Monday 30th September, usual time and place, 6pm – 7:30pm at Middlesbrough Sports Village. Please help us to spread the word far and wide!
