More events are planned later this summer for young riders. They will be taking place at Middlesbrough Sports Village and will be held in conjunction with British Cycling.

CTT National Youth Championships
The Teesside District Qualifier for the CTT National Youth Championships will be held on Thursday, 20 July 2017 in conjunction with the Stockton Wheelers’ club 10.

Junior Track Taster Sessions
British Cycling are running junior track sessions over the Easter holidays on Thursday 20th April. There are rides for beginners (no track experience) and for intermediates (some track experience). Bike hire is available and the sessions cost £5 booked in advance or £6 on the day.
Note: This is for the Velodrome, not the Cycle Circuit.

Just a reminder that the Youth and Adult training sessions start tomorrow (Monday, 6 February) at the Cycle Circuit, Middlesbrough Sports Village, TS4 3AE. The Youths start at 6:00 pm followed by the Adults at 7:30 pm. Information about the Youth training can be found under the Coach tab on the CWCC website.
The Presentation Evening for the North East Road Youth League (RYL) was held in Durham last Saturday, 10 December.
The events in the RYL took place over the spring and summer months involving a mix of racing and skills. Cleveland Wheelers youth racers took part in the league and were rewarded as follows :-
- Stacey Williams (under 10) : Second in the skills round and second overall in the league, winning two medals.
- Daniel Thompson (under 8) : First in the skills round and first overall in the league taking the two top trophies.
- Sean Dolan (under 8) : Won a medal for eighth overall in the league.
- Lewis Dolan (under 12) : First in the skills round and first overall in the league taking the top two trophies
Also Daniel received a jersey as regional champion in under 8 boys and Lewis won a jersey for most points throughout the league for all boys’ age categories.
