Youth Xmas Party & Awards Night

Josef George writes :-

Our big end of year celebrations will culminate with our CWCC Youth Training Christmas Party & Awards Evening, which is on a Wednesday this year – Wednesday 14th December, 6:00pm – 8:00pm.

Please arrive for approx 6pm. Refreshments will be available first and we will start the prize presentation around 6:30pm. If you attended the League 2000 Prize Presentation a few months ago, it is to be held in the same function room, the Virtual Studio.

To locate the Virtual Studio, enter the main building at Middlesbrough Sports Village and climb the stairs on your right. If a member of Everyone Active staff stops you, just let them know that you are here for the Prize Presentation. We aim to have members of our team there to direct you also. Follow the corridor until you approach the gym facilities and turn right. Pass the usual room that we use and continue down and around the corridor to your left, the Virtual Studio is on your right-hand side.

On the evening, we will have a prize presentation for those who have attended youth training across the year with various trophies, medals & awards to be awarded, as well as hot food & refreshments, music & games and a visit from a certain someone with a gift to take home for everyone.

We will then break for roughly around 6-7 weeks over the festive period for a winter break and the intention is to recommence youth training on Monday 30th January 2023, with the League 2000 set for a May 2023 start date. Please note that these are only projected start dates and are yet to be confirmed.

Congratulations Daniel

Josef George writes :-

Huge congratulations to youth member, Daniel Thompson, who has won the U14 age category in the Ulster International Youth Tour in Northern Ireland over the weekend.

Below is a list of how he got on in each round and overall placings across the event

Stages –

  • Stage 1 – 1st – prologue TT winner
  • Stage 2 – 5th
  • Stage 3 – 2nd
  • Stage 4 – 6th

Overall –

  • General Classification – 1st
  • Points – 2nd
  • King of the Mountains – 2nd

I think that we can all agree that this is an absolutely phenomenal achievement, not only with it being across the water but up against some tough competition from across the UK & Ireland!

Excellent effort during all stages, well done Daniel!

Thanks & regards,
Josef George
