Here is a short photo gallery from the recent CX event. Unfortunately it was too cold and wet for our photographer to stay around all day. Many thanks to Michael Guess for the photos. As always, feel free to use them for your own personal, non-commercial use.

Monday Night Adult Training
Don’t forget, now that the dark nights have returned Prissick training has resumed. 19:20 sign on for a 19:30 start. Encouragement is free, you only pay to hire the track (£4).
A variety of drills & events will focus on fitness, bike handling skills and group riding skills. The drills are as tough as you make them and (usually!) a lot of fun.
All abilities, genders and fitness levels catered for, the only requirements are that you have your own bike, can ride it, and are over 14 years of age. Members and non-members equally welcome.
Let’s see if we can get some good numbers for these sessions!
Congratulations to Peter Hook of VC York on his success in this year’s CWCC Hillclimb. He narrowly beat Ross Turner into second place, who in turn beat Aaron Preston by the narrowest margin possible! The forced move to the new course proved for some very tight racing with some very close times, as well as giving an excellent overall experience for spectators. Full & categorised times can be found below.
CWCC wishes to thank all those who took part in the event, those who helped out on the day and in advance (particularly with the details/paperwork around the new course), those who came to watch and encourage and last, but not least, The House Designerwear, Yarm for their continued support of this event.

“Best event of the year” – Luke Price, CWCC
Sunday sees the latest annual running of the CWCC Open Hillclimb up Clay Bank. This year, due to roadworks on the usual course, we’re running the event up what we call “the steep side of Clay”. Like the usual course, this ends at the Clay Bank car park but begins just under a mile down the road towards Ingleby Greenhow rather than on the Great Broughton road. Can we ask those who go to spectate to take care on this road as it is much steeper and narrower than the usual course, and to be especially aware of the riders and of motorised traffic.
CWCC would like to thank The House Designerwear of Yarm for their continued support of our event, it’s much appreciated. We would also like to thank the Fietsen Tempo club for the donation of a new shield for “Top Teesside Veteran”, donated in honour of friend & club member Rob Hughes who sadly lost his battle with cancer early this year. Cancer touches almost everyone in some way or other and the money from the charity donations raised at this year’s event “cafe” will be donated to a relevant cancer charity.
A copy of the startsheet can be found here.
A copy of the event manual, which includes the location of HQ, details of the route and how to get to the start, can be found here.
See you all on Sunday.
