Last week, on 11 December, we held our annual Christmas Party & End of Year Awards Night for 2024.
It was a great evening which was well attended by our youth cohort, celebrating all of their achievements made throughout the year at our youth training sessions. With lots of fun and games, refreshments and a surprise by a certain someone who had a gift for everyone in attendance.

Thank to all coaches, parents and volunteers for all of your help and support at any of our coaching sessions this year, League 2000 sessions or out and about supporting us at any events around the country whether competing or spectating!
The club held its annual Freewheeling competition on Stone Stoup Hill, Ingleby Greenhow on Sunday, 3 November.
It was a fine day and there was a good turnout with over 30 riders taking part.
The winner was Marcus Smith. The top seven riders got over the crest of the first rise (probably the most for many years), but no one got all the way to Battersby not even Marcus with his eBike!
The top riders were :-
Marcus Smith
Harry Tanfield
Eoin Carroll
Gary Batty
Tom Levell
Dan Waring
Martin Bell
Toby Tanfield
Andy Curson
Mark Hansom
Marjolein Van’t Geloof (Marjo) – first lady
The first three are in the photo below. A nonchalant Marcus flanked by Eoin (L) and Harry (R).
The full complement of riders are shown below :-
Many thanks to Brian Gleeson and Tom Levell for the photos.
David Appleyard also took some photos at the event and these have been posted on Facebook in the Cleveland Wheelers Members Group page. Thanks David.
