CWCC Hillclimb – Photo Gallery

A photo gallery from today’s hillclimb. It turns out we have more than one string to our “official photographer” bow so there’s a whole bunch more than there were originally.

Our thanks to Brian Gleeson and Andy Curson.

Feel free to use any of the photos for non-commercial purposes.

CWCC Hillclimb 2016 – Results (Official)

murph

Here are the official results of the CWCC Hillclimb.

Congratulations to Josh Teasdale on winning with a new course record time and to Toby Tanfield for his huge sweep of prizes. More than covered his brothers’ DNS fees!  A special mention to David Murphy too, who made the trip all the way up from Liverpool and finished a very good 7th.

A big thank you to you all for taking part and to the huge crowds that assemble on the hill. You spectators are really appreciated by the riders and help to make the event what it is.

Thank you also to all of my helpers, be you marshals, timekeepers, photographers or catering assistants.

A photo gallery has been added (above).

CWCC Winter Training

The ever popular (and dare we say “famous”) Cleveland Wheelers winter training sessions begin again this coming Monday, 3rd October at the Cycle Circuit at Middlesbrough Sports Village (Prissick). The sessions run from 7.30 till 9pm and cover a range of drills that improve both fitness and bike handling skills, particularly those skills that revolve around riding in groups.

CWCC have recently invested heavily in coach training and each session this year will led by qualified coaches. Sessions will cost £4 per person and will run every Monday through until April, with the exception of holiday periods (Christmas/New Year) and in the event of really bad weather. This website will provide details of when sessions are NOT being held.

Sessions are open to all adults and to “advanced” juniors aged 14+, by which we mean those already used to racing/group riding. A parental consent form will need to be signed by the parents of all junior riders wishing to take part (done on the evening, at their first session).

Please note that although the circuit is lit we require all participants to have a rear light (preferably solid) and also mudguards (not just Ass Savers, it’s for the rider behind, not for yourself) in wet conditions. You yourslef should dress accordingly for the conditions. Winter nights can get cold, wet & windy.

If you require more information please use this form.
