Way of St Hild

Hartlepool Council are launching the Way of St Hild, a historic pilgrimage between Hartlepool and Whitby, on Sunday 8 March (International Women’s Day).  As part of this launch Hartlepool Council are seeking to encourage people to walk, jog, run or cycle parts of the route on this day.

Comprehensive information about the route is attached.  Also attached is a form for individuals to register their interest in completing part of the Way of St Hild on Sunday 8 March.

The Croft TT Series is back again this year. If you fancy giving time trialling a go in a safe, traffic free environment then you may be interested in these events.

If you’re using the cycle circuit please ensure that you don’t leave your bike unattended and unlocked. You never know who’s watching.

Unfortunately one of the young riders had his bike stolen from there last week.

Cycling UK – 50 in 4 to Brompton

A reminder that it’s the Cycling UK Hard Riders 50 miles in 4 hours Tourist Trial on Sunday, 9 February 2020. It starts at 9:00 am from Marton Shops (TS7 8DX). The route goes via Stokesley, Great Broughton, Clay Bank, Bilsdale, Newgate Bank, Helmsley, up to Sutton Bank (“the graveyard”), Thirsk and Northallerton to finish on the green at Brompton.

There’s a £1 entry fee and certificates to riders who complete the event within the time limit.

Note that this event is not organised by Cleveland Wheelers but by the Teesside branch of Cycling UK.
