For Youth Riders

If anyone is interested in the Road Talent Development Centre sessions and also the Under 12 Road Academy sessions, they begin this Thursday, 20 January 2022, at Middlesbrough Sports Village.

These sessions are not being run by CWCC but by the North East Cycling Academy (Adam Brooks/Manilla Cycling) in partnership with British Cycling and are the entry point to the British Cycling Talent Pathway. They are open to all North East Riders looking to further their Road Cycling & Circuit Racing. If anyone is interested in attending, as I say, these are open to all who would like to develop and further their cycling, please see the information below from Adam :-

We can’t wait to get back to delivering coaching activity this week. Thursday sees the start of our first Road Talent Development Centre sessions and also our Under 12 Road Academy sessions. Thursdays:

6.00pm – 7.00pm U12 Road Academy @ Middlesbrough Cycle Circuit

7.15pm – 9.00pm – Road Talent Development Session

Phyllis Urwin

We’ve just been given the funeral arrangements for Phyllis Urwin.

Phyllis’s funeral service will take place at 10:30am on Friday, 29th October in St Clare’s RC Church, Low Lane, Middlesbrough, prior to cremation in the chapel of St Hilda at Teesside Crematorium.

Family and friends please meet at the church. Flowers or donations in lieu if so desired to the Alzheimer’s Society.

Rough Stuff – 17 Oct 2021

Nine riders successfully completed the Rough Stuff Challenge. A special mention goes to Anthony Jaszczak, who at ten years old, is one of the youngest finishers we’ve had in these events.

Anthony Moy, however, was reported as being missing in action.
