The list of finishers and e-certificates for the above event can now be found on the website at Rides/Challenge Rides/Rough Stuff/Finishers 2025.
Hi wheelers. This Sunday 5th Oct is the last of the 2025 challenge rides. The rough stuff, departing from Fletchers farm car park at 09:30. Please see the link below for details and route. It’s a last chance to collect them all important tourist trophy points.
Im afraid I’m unable to make it again, and as yet I have no Cleveland wheelers official in place to sign riders on and off the ride, and usually ride the event with this one. So can one of the usual characters who turn out please make me a list of starters and finishers on your phone, and if any of them have properly fitted mudguards and a proper size saddle bag capable of containing a sandwich and a flask. Participants have 4 hrs to complete the ride and finish back at Fletchers. Weather looks improved Sunday after storms Saturday. So keep safe, and enjoy the ride. Thanks, Dave K

Many thanks to all the competitors who turned out for this event. Numbers are down in general for TTs across the region, and so it was here too, with the lowest turnout to date. There were event clashes that contributed to this (particularly the local CX event), and we hope we can avoid this next year. I would encourage everyone to try to tempt friends and fellow club members into TT & hillclimbs wherever possible.
Many thanks too to all the marshals, timekeepers, and event HQ helpers, without whom the event could not have taken place.
Finally, a thank you to all the spectators who lined the hill and provided a great atmosphere and a lot of “encouragement” to the competitors.
The event was won by Elliott Holt, still a junior, who also broke his own course record for juniors. Tom Harcourt pipped Richard Lilleker by just two seconds to claim second spot.
The female event was won for the second year running by Gemma Mitchell, triumphing over Louise Hamilton and Deborah Jefferies. Full results have been uploaded to the CTT site, and the prize breakdown is given below. Winners will be contacted by email to provide bank/PayPal details for payment of prize money.
Many thanks to you all.
