CWCC “Mountain 25”

Sunday 25th April saw the latest edition of Cleveland Wheeler’s “Mountain 25” TT over the Castleton to Hutton-Le-Hole course. This was the first Wheelers’ open event of the year and was a great success with its largest ever field and a lot of quality riders. Thankfully the “covid friendly” sign-on was helped by some decent weather – we dread to think how that could have gone in an April downpour!

The final results are on the CTT website and also available as a PDF (see download link below).

Additionally there is a photo album on our Google Photos site here courtesy of in-house photographer Michael Guess. Feel free to download and use any that you want for your own non-commercial use.

Additional photos are also available from professional photographer Mayo Creative.

Cleveland Wheelers wish to thank all of those who helped make this event possible, from the organiser, officials, helpers, competitors to spectators & supporters. We look forward to seeing you again at future events.

Summary

Many thanks to organisers, timekeepers, marshals and competitors for making this, once again, a very successful event. It has been difficult getting events on this year so it was especially appreciated that you all turned up in great numbers, very heartening to see. Thank you all too for complying with the Covid regulations and keeping the event safe, hopefully next year we can get back to something like normality, though that seems a long way off just yet.

Thanks once again to our sponsors Contemporary Stokesley Hair Salon, without whom our prize fund could not be so generous, and to Fietsen Tempo CC for the Rob Hughes Shield.

2020 Open Hillclimb

It’s less than a month now until the hill climb double-header of Clay Bank and Carlton Bank, held on Sunday 27th September.

This year the Stockton Wheelers event (Carlton) starts earlier so as to join more seamlessly with Cleveland Wheelers event (Clay). The idea is to make it more attractive to people who want to try both, no hanging round for hours between events. The plan is to give people riding both events the same number in both events so they don’t have to bother changing over numbers etc between events. As always there will be a prize for the best combined time.
Get your entries in, entry closes in 2 weeks!
