Time is running out to get your tickets for the Wheelers’ presentation evening. It’s always a good do, not at all stuffy or formal, a good chance to meet your mates, especially those you don’t get to ride with so often (maybe they’re fast group and you’re medium) and the chance to see Dave Kirton “rip up the dance floor” with those special 70s disco moves.
We’re trying a different formula this year and Marcus has come up with some pretty interesting ideas, so let’s all get along there and support it.

Both junior and adult training is cancelled today due to ice on the circuit.

CTC Discounted Membership
Did you know that Cleveland Wheelers members can obtain discounted membership to CTC. This membership costs just £24 a year and carries almost* all the same benefits as the full priced membership costing over £40.
To join as an affiliated member, as that membership is called, simp!y follow this link and fill in your details. One of the items of information that you will require is a code, obtainable from the club secretary on this link. Please allow a couple of days for him to reply as he may have to verify your membership status.
Fact: If you want to join the CTC you can save almost £10 by joining Cleveland Wheelers first!
* The affiliate membership does not include access to the CTC Legal Services. This means that if you want to bring a claim against someone you must use your own claims lawyers. It does still include their personal liability cover so that you are insured for claims that may be brought against yourself.
This is a 2-day British Cycling Go-Ride Course, held at Middlesbrough Sports Village and focusing on developing basic skills in a fun, enjoyable and safe environment.
The programme is held over 2 days, the 16th & 17th February, and runs from 10.30 am – 3pm. All children attending should have some prior cycling experience.
Bikes and helmets will be available but children can bring their own, and they will need to bring a packed lunch.
Cost is £7 per rider, per day of the course.

George Hugill
The funeral of well know and well loved local cyclist George Hugill will take place on Thursday 11th February at 1.30pm at St Mathew and St Lukes Church in Brinkburn Rd, Darlington. All who knew him are invited to attend.
Cleveland Wheelers extends its deepest sympathy to the family and friends of George.
