Hi all. Please see my amendment to the 50in4 info below. I had mistakenly put 08.30 to 09.30 / correction! sign on is 08.30 to 09.00 and to clear up any confusion with set off times I’m going to suggest 08.50 depart for steadier riders and 09.00 for the faster riders. But of course you can depart anytime you wish between these times once signed on. Thanks, Dave k
Hi all, just a reminder that this Sunday the 15th sept is our premier event of the season, the Castleton 50 in 4. 08.30 to 09.00, sign on and roll out from Middlesbrough Sports Village car park. ( suggest 08.50 steadier riders and 09.00 faster riders depart. Finish at the village hall Castleton opposite the co-op where refreshments will be available. This years event is doubling up as a charity rider to raise money for Teesside mind and cancer research. A couple of subjects that have effected and continue to effect Cleveland wheelers members, families and friends. A donation bucket will be available at the start and donations can also be made in exchange for refreshments at Castleton village hall.
Usual ride rules apply, please keep it tidy, and remember that part of the challenge is to navigate the route, this is not a lead read. However I am expecting ability groups to form fairly quickly on ormesby bank and clay bank which naturally tidies things up. Other than that, enjoy! And please remember, it’s not a race!

P.S. if anyone would like to donate some extra treats for the café then that would be most appreciated, ( I wouldn’t mind some savoury food on offer as well as cakes and scones! Sausage rolls and pork pies / food of champions ) food donations can be dropped at my house on Saturday.
