Hi wheelers. Sorry I have been slow putting this out but here’s the list of riders that took part in the wheelers 100 challenge ride last Sunday. 3 groups made it around the course which was made far more testing by a rather nasty westerly and a few heavy showers which made the ride out to Barnard castle and the approach to the Stang particularly nasty. So well done to everyone. It was a great day out. Next year I may just tweak the route a little so we turn left at Caldwell and cut through the lanes and over the wooden suspension bridge to Whorlton and in to the back of Barnard castle near Bowes museum,. It will be far more pleasant and scenic than the A67. Also will finish back at Ayton either at fletchers farm or possibly outside the buck for a pint and some chips! That will take it from 98 miles to 101.
