Date: 28-Sept-2025 10:00
Course: THC33
Organising Secretary: Steven Tilly
Timekeepers: Shereen Binks, Gavin Chatto

Marshals: Susan Tilly, Tom Levell, Keith Nelson, Lisa Jobling, Eric Harkins, Graham Currie

Many thanks to all the competitors who turned out for this event. Numbers are down in general for TTs across the region, and so it was here too, with the lowest turnout to date. There were event clashes that contributed to this (particularly the local CX event), and we hope we can avoid this next year. I would encourage everyone to try to tempt friends and fellow club members into TT & hillclimbs wherever possible.

Many thanks too to all the marshals, timekeepers, and event HQ helpers, without whom the event could not have taken place.

Finally, a thank you to all the spectators who lined the hill and provided a great atmosphere and a lot of “encouragement” to the competitors.

The event was won by Elliott Holt, still a junior, who also broke his own course record for juniors. Tom Harcourt pipped Richard Lilleker by just two seconds to claim second spot.

The female event was won for the second year running by Gemma Mitchell, triumphing over Louise Hamilton and Deborah Jefferies. Full results have been uploaded to the CTT site, and the prize breakdown is given below. Winners will be contacted by email to provide bank/PayPal details for payment of prize money.

Many thanks to you all.

Evening Series Hillclimb

It’s the first of our two Evening Series hillclimbs tomorrow (September 4th). All are welcome to participate, even if you haven’t signed up for the series, and entry is free for all.
Tomorrow’s event is up “the long side” (from Great Broughton), and the next one in two weeks is up “the steep side” (from Ingleby Greenhow).
The weather forecast for tomorrow is pretty poor. If it’s actually dreadful, we’ll cancel – I’ll email and post to the web/Facebook.
See you tomorrow if you fancy it!

Youth Vs Grown Ups Round 1 – Monday 4th August 2025

Important information about tonight’s event. Due to the bad weather and high winds, tonight’s session will not go ahead as planned and will unfortunately be cancelled. We have tried to hang on as long as we could to see how it would be, but with constant debris on the circuit and the high winds from storm Floris, we are deeming it unsafe. As well as it being a nightmare for the skills and time trial events set for this evening.

Apologies again, but the weather has gotten the better of us. We will run the Youth Vs Grown Ups as a stand alone event, next Monday 11th August 2025, 6pm – 7:30pm. Who will come out on top at the conclusion of this amazing event – enter below to get involved – https://clevelandwheelers.com/youth-v-grown-ups/
