Background
Saturday, 13th June 2015 sees the second running of our Harrogate to Harrogate Etape du Tour. This is based loosely on the route taken by last year’s stage 1 of the Tour de France. It’s a distance of 125 miles.
We will again be using this opportunity to raise funds for club member Keith Alderson’s granddaughter, Gabrielle, to aid in her fight against Neuroblastoma, an agressive childhood cancer. If riders taking part would like to throw in to the collection some of the money that they would normally spend entering a sportive then it would be much appreciated.
If anyone doesn’t wish to do the 125 mile ride then there is an alternative 33 mile route available.
As last year we will be using Harrogate Fire Station as the departure point. Car parking space will be available there for up to 20 cars.
Ride plan
As always these rides are self supporting so everyone must make sure they have enough spares and money and be familiar with the route. We will let the riders naturally split into ability groups once on the road.
