What: 1.6 mile hill climb on Clay Bank.

Description: Traditionally the CWCC hill climb was held on Carlton Bank (THC4). However roadworks on that course in 2013 meant that the climb was relocated to Clay Bank and it has remained there since. The winner in 2013 was Rob Carter in 5 mins 50 secs. For the last three years the winner has been Josh Teasdale. In 2014 won in 5 mins 47 secs, in 2015 in 5 mins 36 secs and last year in 5 mins 32 secs.
Course: THC32 – Clay Bank, south of Great Broughton.
Course detail: The start is opposite Maynard’s Plant Centre on the B1257, Great Broughton to Helmsley road. OS reference NZ 554052, approximate postcode TS9 7HU. The climb goes up Clay Bank in the direction of Helmsley to finish 20 metres before the turn into the car park at the top. This gives a total distance of 1.6 miles.
